Dr. Mitchell is a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (2019). She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduating, she completed an equine surgical internship at Milton Equine Hospital and a large animal medicine and surgery internship at the Ontario Veterinary College before working as a small animal veterinarian in Sarnia, ON.

Dr. Mitchell went on to complete an anesthesia residency at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She later served as a specialist veterinarian in anesthesia at the Ontario Veterinary College (2019-2023), where she provided anesthesia care for a wide range of species and helped train veterinary students and residents.

Dr. Mitchell is excited to support the team at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital of West Toronto by providing locum anesthesia services.
